Training schedule for the next half marathon while working, packing, moving, cleaning, and finishing my mom's garage in the next 3 weeks. Oh, and volunteering to help with the high school play for 4 shows.

Gonna be a wee bit busy. 🥴

Autumn in Portland, OR, 10 years ago. I miss the green, the rain, and the changing of seasons.

One step at a time gets it done!

She's so lovely.

Walk. Journal. Do a friction audit of my life with the power of the supermoon pushing me out of my comfort zone.

What do I need to do to be the best version of myself? What do I need to let go of? Where do I need to push harder? What is something I want to do that I can't do now?

I need coffee.

Stuff I don't get to see often since moving to the desert.

I completely understand that. But still... you never know.

Well, my heart is. I do believe it comes along when you least expect it.

Nothing wrong with video games.

A simple, cozy life.

I'll knit us matching beanies and scarves. We'll feed the ducks, thaw out in front of a fire, and slip into bed most content.

I do as well. It's simple, but lovely.

C'mon, magic bean juice. Do your thing.

That sounds like a fun group! And it's okay to have periods of your life when you slack off. We all do (at least most of us). Do what you can, when you can, right? I know when I slack off, like I did recently for months due to severe depression, even getting out for a quick morning walk helps me.

I felt so much lighter today when I noticed that we're down to the last 6 or so boxes. I have all of her storage bins organized and neatly stacked on shelves where she can reach them. Not only do I love helping her, but I genuinely enjoy organizing stuff like this. It feels good.

Swimming is so good for you. I love walking and hiking. I could walk everywhere. I've never done a triathlon! That's amazing you've done all that.

She'll feel grief for the rest of her life. She's allowed. Grieving has no time limit. You might feel fine for a while then something knocks the wind from you. It's okay. She thought people would get sick of it. I said she's allowed as often as she needs, and I never wanted her to feel bad for it.

There were unusable items she didn't want to dispose of at first because they were Mike's (my dead brother). Today she said quite a few of the items could go. She cried for a bit, which she felt guilty for. She thought after 2 mo she should be over it. I told her she'll never get over it.

I've worked with my mom & stepdad (ok, just mom) on their garage for 4-6 hrs on Sat & Sun, plus extra days I had off, since beg of Sept. It looked like an ep of Hoarders & it overwhelmed her. I told her we'd take it a few boxes at a time. Once we had a dent, momentum kicked in.

We're almost done!

It's such a feeling of accomplishment, even if it isn't a full marathon. I don't hurt as much as I have after other halfs, but I am pretty sore.

I will. They have to anyway. I got stuff to do.
