tie between JavaScript and Haskell. JavaScript having so many different ways it let's you do things like defining a function gave way to some of the worst syntactical habits and patterns I've ever seen. And some things read worse than old C code with excessive abbreviation. Haskell is just hell lmao

If anyone is looking for good common sense level design and prototyping tools for unreal, this is actually unmatched. Much better than unreal's extremely outdated BSP brushes without the fuss of importing from blender to test changes!

The prospective real time GI techniques from last gen
β SVOGI for example, or better light bake tecniques like Valve uses for Half Life Alyx and Deadlock covers the bulk of what lumen does, but without the crutch of temporal algorithms resulting in wayyyy better clarity and performance to boot.
The problem is that it is actually bad, but people don't articulate other than "it runs worse".
Seeing it misused for baked lighting for example is bad.
Not to mention the almost forced deprecation of baked lighting and other Real Time GI techniques within the big engine are the real problems

I'm going to call this another Dave the Diver situation where this game absolutely should not be called indie.
If you have a publisher that puts you into 2 seperate major Xbox Games Showcases with how much that costs, that is no longer indie.
It should instead be referred to as Double A at best.
