I am an Anglican Priest, somewhere an hour north of Toronto, Serving two English congregations and one spanish speaking congregation.
Praying for Bishop Sarah Mullally as she takes on this new role!!!
04.10.2025 01:33 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Charlie Kirk wasnβt the only person shot today. But, theyβre not big name MAGAβs, so itβs unlikely weβll hear much about it from this administration.
At least 3 students injured in shooting at Colorado high school.

Blessed feast of the Creator (or Creation)! Today marks the start of the Season of Creation!
I celebrated with our Hiking Church in the copeland forest today!
How are you going to connect with nature this month Head?
#seasonofcreation #feastofcreation ##ecospirituality
OK clergy friends When do you max out on services for a Sunday?
Yesterday I had four (which is one extra to my normal) and that was challenging.
4 different congregations, 3 different sermons, 2 different languages.
#clergylife
Also non-clergy folks are welcome to reply as well. But i am genuinely curious if you think it fits and what it drives?
18.08.2025 19:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OK #clergyfolks, question for you have you watched The Bear season 4? If so do you feel the 4 month countdown clock as a metaphor for the institutional church at this moment? What is it driving for you? Anxiety? Fear? Creativity? Excellence? #Anglican #episcopal #elcic #elca
18.08.2025 16:44 β π 1 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0I am also following from a far, you can read the resolutions on the general synod website, but there are a number of interesting motions being considered tonight and hopefully tomorrow. (The C resolutions are always interesting!).
28.06.2025 23:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ian Alexander and Claire Burns handled it all with clarity and grace, (with Claire's dry but deep knowledge of canons).
The nomination came from the college of Bishops, based on a request from the orders. I hope the Spirit was at work. We see based on the fruits of the decision!
I would love to know more about the factors that deterred earlier nominations.
(I guess most of that is hypotheses and guess work, which may not be productive either)
This is a great explanation!
27.06.2025 01:10 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Publically, the motion was without debate. So we can guess but without speaking to each member we might not know all the reasons. I sent Charles my thoughts separately, but they are only hypotheses.
The clergy motion had preamble, that indicated the mover's reasons.
Thanks for stitching it together. I took a lunch break in the middle, I miss the World of Weird Anglican Twitter, and hoped my comments supported us along the way. (I just followed the livestream through out my day).
27.06.2025 01:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0On Ballot 5 we have an election, congratulations and prayers for Primate elect Shane Parker. In gratitude for Bishop Shaw and all other nominees who offered to stand. We keep you in prayer as you undertake this ministry!
26.06.2025 19:45 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0House of clergy moving for additional candidates from house of Bishops, we will see if we get another candidate on the ballot. (Mover indicated he and others could not vote for either candidate in good conscience).
26.06.2025 19:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ballot 4 results are in, Archbishop kerr-wilson is withdrawing for the next ballot. Again grateful for all nominees! Leaving Bishop Shaw and Bishop Parker on the ballot.
26.06.2025 19:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ballot 3 Archbishop Chris Harper willingly steps off the ballot following these results, leaving Archbishop Kerr-Wilson, Bishop Shaw, and Bishop Parker on the ballot.
26.06.2025 18:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Glad it is helpful! I always enjoyed following the Anglican chat around synods on other platforms. The live stream is also available on YouTube. Archbishop Anne's address was wonderful earlier this week!
26.06.2025 18:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0General Synod is back in session, with the election for primate. The lay motion passed and The house of Bishops sent one additional nominee, Bishop Shane Parker of Ottawa. Members are discussing, at the wise recommendation of the Chancellor, the prolocutor allowed that space. Ballot 3 is on the way.
26.06.2025 18:03 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1Laity has made a request for additional nominations, they are voting now. I am taking a pause of watching for lunch, and hopefully I will keep following the live stream after lunch.
26.06.2025 16:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Calls for additional candidates come from orders separately and then is voted on by order. (Sorry for Church geekiness. Clergy or laity can make that motion).
More questions of what happens if abstentions were substantial enough...
(Grateful for Chancellor Claire burns for her knowledge)!
As we move forward all candidates had recieved at least 10%, lowest number is removed. Bishop Lehman is removed from the ballot. Many thanks for his willingness to stand!
26.06.2025 15:57 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ballot 2 is done, there was a canonical question asked about if abstentions are contrary to Canon Law, it was confirmed according to appendices. A second question if abstentions negates either ballot, again not substantial enough to change results significantly.
26.06.2025 15:52 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0First ballot is done, moving to the second ballot. After the first ballot no names are dropped and then moving forward the lowest number of votes is dropped and additional nominees may be asked for from the college of Bishops! Come Holy Spirit!
26.06.2025 15:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Praying for the Anglican Church of Canada today, as they gather as part of General Synod to elect the next Primate of our Church. Come Holy Spirit Come!
26.06.2025 14:41 β π 39 π 2 π¬ 5 π 1Happy Pride Month! It was great to start the month with Barrie Pride alongside Anglicans, United and other affirming churches in The Barrie and simcoe area! #barrie #pridemonth #Anglican
01.06.2025 01:43 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Went on a long trail run yesterday in preparation for my first running event in a long while. The trails in the copeland forest were mostly snow covered. Hopefully it will thaw by the end of April for PickyourPoison!
29.03.2025 13:34 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In 2018 Premier Doug Ford eliminated rent control in the province of Ontario.
Back in 2018 average rents in Ontario were $1203/month.
By 2023 the average rent in the province was $2329/month. $2898/month in Toronto.
Vote accordingly.
Today at church my four year old called out during my sermon, Oh Daddy you know everything. She knows how to throw me off while preaching.
10.02.2025 01:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Spending some time over tonight and Saturday, hanging out with Anglicans across Canada to dream and wonder together listen deeply and give our yes to the Holy Spirit. #missionalimagination2025
31.01.2025 00:20 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nope, it's going to be one of those weeks.

We should catch up at the pre-lenten Day in February.
