I like to use diagrams in a setting where I can explain what I did, and spend a few minutes in the next meeting with the diagram talking through it

We’ve used diagrams successfully in my team to get on the same page about a lot but it needs to be complimented by something else

I’ve been slowly rediscovering biking and last night I rode an ebike home from a friend’s birthday dinner and it was incredible

Tbh it was the platipussary joke and then the moustache.

I really love marathon writing. I love outlining a project and just trying to get it written down so I can edit. I'm like 1/4 done my current writing project and it feels good to move fast.

Maybe this is all just some persistent malaise from the grad school departure but I don’t love this feeling

The only exception to this persistent feeling was when I was writing the draft of my novel in March

I’ve had this persistent feeling the last several months that I don’t have enough time to do anything.

And I was thinking last night about how I have more time I have ever before really. I think maybe it’s just the work from home life blurs stuff.

I am in search of the perfect pen for me, with a nice look to it, a cap over a click.

I want it to have ink that goes on with a wet shine, but dries nicely. It should be a medium tip, because I like my writing big.

Does anyone know of this pen?

I just going through the edits on my novel manuscript. Writing fiction is a hugely refreshing change from grad school where I was constantly told me writing was bad and wrong.

The editor I worked with was so complimentary about my writing, it was really lovely.

Rediscovering joy, a little piece at a time

I’ve been on leave from my PhD program the last few months and have been enjoying the return of hobbies that grad school required I give up

I recently wrote a draft of a novel that I feel really good about and am reading for pleasure again

The way I keep my sanity is by re-imagining everything as radical hope

Worrying about grade inflation as an act of radical hope 😂

Signed back in to remember I deleted this a while back and now have to build this back up if I want to use it 😬
