I'm an American living in Germany and, yeah, if it can ever be repaired, it will take decades at least. Perhaps more than a century.

Here in Germany, the only American product that remains popular is Coca-Cola. Pretty much everything else is no longer purchased, and the US itself is boycotted for tourism. Jack Daniel's has been running an extensive advertising campaign, but Johnny Walker has seemingly captured their business.

It comes from the Dutch word meaning “to cover.”

You also use it when you’re all “decked out.”

That was the original that I had back then as well. I lost it in a particularly nasty break-up in the late 90's and then repurchased an omnibus version around 2010 to reread it. :)

I picked this up at a CD store in Germany back in '91, and it introduced me to some bands that have remained with me ever since.

The absolute most memorable theater-going experience I have ever had was seeing "Schindler's List" in a small theater in Düsseldorf. The last 30-40 minutes were nothing but absolute silence and tears around me.

From an American living abroad, Canada is beautiful, and the people are really friendly if someone wanted something "America-Light".

Many countries are already developing strategies to exclude the US in their dealings, specifically.

Do you think that the rest of the world is ever going to be as welcoming to American involvement after what has already transpired in the last 11 months? We still have at least 3 more years of this... our relationship in the rest of the world will only be damaged further.
