This is so shockingly embarrassing for everyone involved.

Never forget that Norman Rockwell, debatably the most famous American artist to ever put brush to canvas, was not afraid to show the ugliness along with the good. Having his work/reputation sanitized and trimmed into marketable nostalgia is about American as it gets.

The left was never doing canceling. Holding people accountable for being awful isn’t the same as the government going after people who aren’t mourning a white supremacist the right way.

Tim Robinson dressed as a hotdog in his show, I Think You Should Leave. The context is that Tim Robins’ character is trying to find someone to blame for the hot dog shaped car that just crashed through the storefront which the comedy sketch is set in. The implication being that clearly he is who caused the crash and is now ardently refusing to admit it.
