Thinking a lot about scabs in niche industries and how we really need to remember who these people are and make sure they don’t have another chance to betray again. They can find another career. More wholesome and talented people are forced to everyday because of the selfish actions of sellouts.

One comic writing tip I try to remind myself of often is heavily enforced here. Don’t use slang that hasn’t been around longer than 20 or so years. It will most likely date your work in the most embarrassing way possible.

Just a night time rant as I fear for the future of creative people that deserve better lives. It’s not fair and that’s part of life but the cruelness of this being because of something as ugly and embarrassing as Ai…it hurts man. And everyone even lightly responsible doesn’t deserve to work with us.

I think what really got me going was seeing Donny Cates yesterday post some corny ass Ai video. Then get pissy when called out about it and feigning ignorance in a disingenuous way. This was a guy who was handed a lot of opportunities in comics and is a reminder of a pattern that always backfires.

Remember the NFT artists and how they found a way to still linger in the anti-Ai movement. They didn’t wager their status to push a union because they are at their core, sellouts. They remained as warnings to their peers to be spineless or waste energy on weak forms of protest (Gov lobbying…come on)
