A group of five everyday staples is responsible for much of the UKβs food inflation, with climate change rather than government policy the key driver of rising grocery bills:

Commenting on comparisons of energy prices with other EU and G7 countries published by DESNZ today, Dr Simon Cran-McGreehin, @eciu.net said:

This is the most important #climate conference since COP26.
With food prices soaring and energy costs biting, leaders must show up and lead.
We agree with what Keir Starmer himself said in 2022:
The PM should be on the world stage solving these problems.

Majority of Reform voters back climate targets
More than half voters who planned to vote for Reform UK in local elections on 1st May support policies to stop climate change and put in place targets accordingly to keep the UK on track.

"Chinaβs announced climate targets may seem tepid. But beneath them is a bold wager: that steady action, powered by industrial strength and vision shielded from political volatility, will ultimately do more to contribute to the global climate effort than lofty, fickle promises ever could."

'Immigration doesn't bother me but it seems to bother everyone else' β Everyone.
This is what happens when the media runs away with Hard Right narratives.
This is the environment politicians have created: hostile not just to people seeking protection, but also to those who support these most vulnerable people. The far right have always done it; politicians who pander to their demands just give them what they want and make life worse for everyone else.
