When I was there, there was a campus walkout. My Chinese History prof (from Columbia in the 60s) agonized at length before cancelling class and moving a midterm so we could go. In engineering, the question of skipping class never even came up.

Once I had a T40p in my trunk when my car was rear-ended. A vacation spot we visit has a retail space where many entrepreneurial dreams have died. The wackiest sold only dioramas of walnut-shell 'folks' with glued-on googly eyes and pipe cleaner limbs doing hobbies -- fishing, skiing, boating, etc. They lasted a whole summer -- longer than I'd expected!
