05.08.2025 19:09 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I seriously doubt that anyone who was chased by ICE across the fields they worked in only to be detained in a concentration camp before being returned home is lining up to come back here for any reason.
Also, of course folks in cities arenβt doing ag work. Food isnβt grown in cities. π€¦π»ββοΈ
Fascists pick the economic winners and losersβ¦
05.08.2025 12:42 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Rachel @maddow.msnbc.com last night: "We do now live in a country that has an authoritarian leader in charge. We have a consolidating dictatorship in our country."
05.08.2025 11:40 β π 6275 π 2662 π¬ 257 π 192Also, check this out. www.bbc.com/future/artic... The crazy plan to explode a nuclear bomb on the Moon
05.08.2025 11:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I suspect itβs nothing more than something Trump can point to and claim βlook how powerful America is. And now we own the moon.β
Iβd also note that during the Cold War, the loons of the day discussed detonating a nuclear bomb on the moon, just to show the Soviets that we could.
I think thatβs what they want β fascists generally donβt appreciate their citizens leaving.
05.08.2025 02:37 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I realize this is mostly rhetorical, but if we donβt roll this back soon, it will cost us everything.
05.08.2025 02:29 β π 13 π 6 π¬ 2 π 0This is abhorrent.
05.08.2025 01:55 β π 9 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0The left side of this graphic seems redundant.
Either that or there are only like three people who identify simply as βrepublicansβ
I donβt think most Americans have felt that impact yet.
05.08.2025 00:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We arenβt βdoing nothing.β
Italians and Germans didnβt have the advantage of the precedent of history in regard to how other states went fascist.
Theyβd have benefitted from an indicators list.
And yes, there are interviews to the effect of βwhen this happened, I knew there was no going back.β
Thatβs not what I said, but thanks for posting what I did say. βFully autocraticβ isnβt the same as a govt that is becoming authoritarian. 1923 Italy wasnβt 1938 Italy.
to the original point β an indicators list helps us understand when that threshold of βfully autocraticβ has been crossed.
But despite my experiences, most Americans have not felt those First amendment infringements. And even my experience wasnβt because I was targeted by the govt directly (although some involved were govt adjacent).
04.08.2025 23:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Probably best to check your assumptions. Iβve been doxxed, threatened and targeted in a smear campaign by MAGA world. People were driving by my house and pulling into my driveway. Iβm still in counseling, but please tell me how Iβm βprivileged and havenβt been impactedβ?
04.08.2025 23:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0All of those things are bad.
Some have more significance to creating an enduring authoritarian state than do others.
People without the credentials and training to understand the consequences of their policies should never get to lead government agencies.
Anyone who thinks this is a good idea is a fool.
Thatβs why creating an βindicatorsβ list is important. When will we be at that point? See list. It may seem arbitrary but itβs not β such a list would include the things scholars and analysts who study authoritarianism cite as warning, for example.
04.08.2025 21:59 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0You acknowledge above that βit will get worse.β So you agree it will grow.
If we were fully autocratic theyβd have come for us already. Most of us donβt yet see infringement on our first amendment rights. But there will be a tipping point when it becomes much more difficult to roll back autocracy.
They need to wake up and take Americaβs side before we become Germany 1941.
04.08.2025 18:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Heβs right. I fear for this country.

03.08.2025 15:08 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0He seems to think they refuse to sell to him because of his politics (which isnβt a federal civil rights violation). He may need to consider that they arenβt selling to him because heβs being Alan Dershowitz.
03.08.2025 12:13 β π 144 π 6 π¬ 3 π 0It rains buckets at nearly every NASCAR race at Bristol Motor Speedway, so Iβm not shocked that today, when the Braves are playing the Cincinnati Reds at the Speedway, it has rained for the past several hoursβand will keep raining til 8 (allegedly).
02.08.2025 21:51 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agreed.
02.08.2025 21:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Joe will be remembered for many good things, but his decency and unflappable devotion to Country will be at the top of the list.
02.08.2025 19:57 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Wait. What????
No. It is not a Hatch Act violation to investigate an insurrection, or theft and retention of documents.
If it were, then it would also stand to reason that all the investigations into democrats launched since Jan 20 are also Hatch Act violations.
INBOX: A soldier in TNβs Army National Guard tells us his command requested volunteers to support ICE in KNOXVILLE.
βI have deep concernsβ¦ I joined to help people. Not thisβ¦ People in Knoxville deserve a warning before we get another LA.β
The email they circulated (not independently confirmed):
I hope we arenβt.
But we are doing exactly what MAGA did: finding someone saying something crazy, or misrepresenting something thatβs already been explained and put to bed, and demanding everyone talk about it like itβs fact.
People want this to be the thing that removes Trump. It isnβt.
