The original publications on #XIST ruled out there were ORF matching the sequence and showed accumulation of the RNA in the nucleus but are these sufficient to rule out protein coding regions? I assume if there were they should have been discovered… or not?

TCGA analysis of over 1000 breast cancers showed that higher FOXP3E2/FOXP3 ratio is a prognostic marker for all breast cancer subtypes

We analysed Tregs from a new cohort of hormone-positive breast cancer patients and found that FOXP3E2 Tregs are enriched in primary tumours and blood of patients with worse prognosis 2/

CD4+FOXP3Exon2+ regulatory T cell frequency predicts breast cancer prognosis and survival FOXP3E2+ Treg enrichment reflects an increased tumor-immune suppression and predicts prognosis in breast cancer.

I live with the principle “do for/to others what you would like them to do for yourself”… I do not feel a looser for this.

And I would add the many grants I volunteer reviewing and the Editor job for which finding reviewers became a struggle nowadays! You say “no” and someone else will say “no” on you!

If I said “no” we would not have heating/air conditioning on the floor, no -80C, no working ground centrifuges, no toilet paper and a few seminars less from international speakers. No Epigenetic course at PhD students… this from my faculty.
