All curated to work when the audience participates.” “And you won’t?” Lust asked. “Is that it?” That did earn him a glance. Level. Unhurried. The kind of look that felt like a pause in the air. Not an offer, not a gift. Simply a person, solid and self-possessed, standing in a play of shadow and light. “No,” Chase said. “Because I don’t want what you’re offering.”

History is history is history. No matter how uncomfortable it might get, it doesn’t stop it from needing to be learned. That discomfort is your gut telling you it was wrong and should NEVER happen again. And that’s why history needs to be accurate. So we don’t repeat what makes us uncomfortable.
