Oh, no, what was the original unmistranslated version?

Like the French Revolution, it’s too early to tell.

I don’t think it’s possible for us to breach it, only MGW and his representatives. Forest may know something. All stupidly speculative but his agent may have been agitating for a move, threatening to leak the value of the clause, speaking in a way that suggested they weren’t going to respect the nda

I think the release clause is there as the price they have to sell at but they want to keep it secret in the hope that someone will bid s much more. US bidding precisely the right amount makes Forest think that the secrecy clause has been broken and in consequence the whole clause is invalidated.

Thomas Frank always has the look of a man who was quietly walking his dog when he came across the mutilated body of a close friend.

It’s a face that might come in handy at Spurs.

Well match day revenue is approx Β£5m per home game; Β£15m for participation in league phase; avg of Β£1m prize money per game; broadcast revenue; increased sponsor obligations; intangibles like the mythical shirt sales; plus likely further money for going past the league phase. Β£100m is conservative.

07.06.2025 22:00 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No, they got Β£5m for winning the final. They made around Β£35m from the tournament Asa while. That’s aside from the approximately Β£100m minimum they’ll make from CL participation.

I’d have kept Ange but your figures are all over the place.

I don’t think that’s it. The difficulty is that the success Ange achieved is all but impossible to replicate but the failings seem all too likely to reoccur. We’re not going to win a trophy to qualify for the CL but we may well throw away a lot of games. Levy doesn’t see bet as a good one.

I thought they wouldn’t sack him. We won a trophy and qualified for the Champions League that’s literally Spurs’ season for the last 64 years. What more did they expect? I think for the board the issue is that it’s not the kind of success you can replicate but the flaws seem likely to remain.

I think the thing for me is that no one’s going to do better than this. Poch was an extravagantly lucky find. No one else has done anywhere near as well with so little money in the last 20 years. Ange is fun and he won something that’s where we’re at and it’s not bad.

I think it’s mostly meant with a positive intention. It’s also the case that the Australian mate carries with it slightly different connotations to the British mate. You wouldn’t, for example, hear a British manager use it when he’d forgotten a journalist’s name. It would be weird.
