We get that Republicans want to argue that “you shouldn’t” protest or film agents, or that it’s “a bad idea.” But it’s a right. That means you don’t get to decide whether someone gets to do it if that’s how they choose to protest. It also means agents can’t kill people who do.

Why isn’t it working? There are more people out on the streets than ever, the media is turning, and the opposition is getting ever stronger, especially at the state govt level. Protest isn’t a win button, it’s a process.

That’s a depressingly powerful image.
