In 2024 (2025 figure not available), 71000 rapes reported to police. Fewer than 3% resulted in charges, let alone convictions. The ONS estimates only 1 in 7 SA is reported so true figure could be close to 500,000, just under 10,000 a week! But obvs the problem is trans people using the wrong toilet.

More than 38,000 people took part in the two-month consultation, making it one of the biggest public engagement exercises ever run by the City of London Corporation, the organisation which manages the Heath as a registered charity. Of six options considered for the Kenwood Ladies, Highgate Men's and Hampstead Mixed Ponds, the most popular, with support from 86% of respondents, was retaining the existing access arrangements, in which trans men and women are able to use the pond of their choice. The same percentage opposed introducing strict single sex access, 90% of people rejected requiring trans swimmers to use separate changing rooms or have separate swimming sessions, while 66% opposed making all ponds mixed sex.

Very good news & also valuable evidence that the majority of people in the UK are not transphobic asshats.

AND especially it shows up the opinion polling companies as deeply corrupt & untrustworthy.

Apparently 38000 people responded to the consultation and 86% agreed with keeping the current trans inclusive arrangement. Seems pretty conclusive to me.
