Agreed. Why should companies like Amazon have thousands of employees claiming benefits when, by reducing their profits by maybe 10-15% they could pay everyone a living wage?

So, Amazon operates in all 50 states. Back in 2018 some states were reported as having 500-1000 Amazon employees on SNAP.
So let's be generous and say 'only' 12,000 (250x50) such people exist.

GIVING them an extra $10,000 each would deduct barely 5% of Amazon's profit of $21.2bn.

TBF, god (if she exists) would certainly know how many times this has happened and it's a pretty easy number to remember.

It's zero. Nothing. Nought. It's never happened. Absolute zilch.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

Even the most goggle-eyed tech bro has got to admit that, when all our jobs are taken by AI, there won't be anyone left to buy their crap.

Their only option is to keep as many people as possible working shitty jobs for minimum wages.
