Panel 1: A large black eye with a cold reflection fills the frame. Lulu’s narration reads, “Dark eyes with cold purpose, watch over the endless white. Hearts untouched by warmth.” Panel 2: The interior of a gaping mouth lined with rows of sharp, overlapping teeth. Lulu continues, “A maw of a thousand teeth unforgiving and merciless.” Panel 3: Silhouettes of penguins stand against an icy blue sky. Lulu’s narration reads, “Their cries echo across the ice, herald of some cold evil.” Panel 4: Dani, Jules, and Lulu sit together on a couch watching TV. Jules says, “Lulu, it’s March of the Penguins.” Dani adds, “It’s not a creature feature.” Lulu, wrapped in a blanket and looking uneasy, replies, “I’d rather it not feature these creatures.”

It will come up soon in my throw back Thursday comics- Lulu is terrified of penguins. Even Jules’ penguin plushy gives her chills.

Dani says, “Lulu’s told me so much about you all…” Lulu interrupts, “Oh yeah!” Panel 3: Lulu shouts excitedly, “I brought dinner!” The aliens suddenly bare sharp teeth and raise forks and knives. Dani freezes in alarm as the aliens close in. Panel 4: Dani bolts awake in lying bed, wide-eyed with fear. Moonlight shines through her window, casting shadows. She clutches her Pink and Black branded blanket tightly her glasses and Pink and Black branded alarm clock sit on her nightstand.

COMICTOBER: Pumpkin Spice

Okay I lied. My guilt got the better of me so I decided to post this one on the actual first day of Comictober. As usual Dani and Lulu will appear in all prompt comics. It will be challenging.

Tomorrow I will have an epilogue featuring Dani and Lulu leaving Stripspace. After that I move onto COMICTOBER!

I should have had a Comictober strip out today, but I’m pushing it back to Friday and Saturday for my sanity.

Four-panel Dani & Lulu comic Panel 1: Lulu, bouncing with excitement, clasps her hands and says: “Oh my stars! You must tell me how it ends!” Ninja stands with arms at his side, calm, saying: “End? This is it.” Pirate says: “We have no direction.” Buck taps on Pirate’s shoulder with his crab hand. Panel 2: Buck gestures toward a fragment of a crab statue, a carved stone butt. A script sits beneath it. Buck says: “We can look at the script. It’s sitting under Crab Cakes.” Pirate shouts: “How could you keep this from us?!” Buck replies: “Pardon me for wanting to experience free will.” Panel 3a (top half): Lulu holds the script open, reading eagerly: “Mech battles… a cure… Pirate saves the day and…” Pirate leans closer, wide-eyed, muttering: “Dies…” Panel 3b (bottom half): Pirate grabs the script and glares at it in shock, shouting: “I die?!” Lulu watches with concern. Panel 4: Ninja, smiling, says: “Yeah but it’s poetic and good.” Buck, sitting nearby, nods: “It fit the story really well.” Lulu, trying to cheer Pirate up, beams and says: “Now you can live here with your friends forever.” Pirate slouches, frowning, holding the script in his lap, and mutters: “Dang it Joe! Why didn’t you finish our story.”

I will try to get one out. I am behind on so many comics and Comictober is coming up quick! I don't know if I will get the Ninja and Pirate arc finished before the first. I will have to shift one of them I think.

Rarely. I will occasionally share some art but no longer posting my comic here on a weekly basis. So I’ve not seen a lot of the hellscape it has become.

😂 I love this. I need to dust my print off and make some of these.

I’ve been there. If I notice it right away I just repost, it many times it’s after it’s been for a few hours. 😂 I figure most people don’t notice the art errors and misspellings.

On another note, Procreate updated with lots of really nice brushes. But it also seemed to remove the ones I was used to. So things will look a bit off until I get used to the new brushes.
