Someone one caught those bastards all dressed up putting large posters up on traffic signal switch boxes in my city. I put it in my comic which is probably what I’d be doing in the 1930s.

Kre-o had the license for Transformers and I was intrigued so I bought one.

The things DID NOT transform! You could build the robot, or the vehicle. Very disappointing. They went on clearance at Target for like 90% off in a year or so.

LEGO Transformer handled the license much better.

Brickcraft actually. They have licenses for Futurama and Family Guy too. I think Lego quality is a bit better, but the stickers on Brickcraft are far easier to set. There are also pieces that are specific to Brickcraft and allow easier build techniques.

Day one purchase. I have a couple of snoopy sets from other brick makers and knew this had to be coming.

In the first Captain America movie I think there was an Indiana Jones reference in the beginning when the tesseract is taken. Something about another team in Egypt. Maybe I was reading too much into it.

We learn the plush penguin’s name in this comic. I had been wanting to give him an actual name and came to the conclusion that even Jules didn’t know his name.

A bit late on this one due to extenuating circumstances bumped it up.

It didn’t help that I also knew about the few times stupid shit almost triggered a nuclear war- a moon rise for instance or some technical glitch.

I grew up on military bases as a kid (70s and 80s) so it was kind of generally known among us what it meant. Ever since I understood nuclear war, thanks to summer trips to Hiroshima, I lived with the fear of being vaporized without notice.

I keep hoping political cartoons will have that effect here.

If I had time I was going to add a bonus panel of the penguin showing up and Batman telling him he’s late.
