It was my favorite app for a very long time and my first big sideproject was to automate delivering your articles as magazines to Kindles!
During college that was one of the big places I always wanted to work at.

The whole argument of Facebook eavesdropping you to show ads is just a fallacy of people thinking they’re so unique you would have to spy on them to know they want a Switch 2.

There’s an episode from 2012 in Top Gear where they go to China to test some Chinese built cars. They were awful and ugly.
Yet at the end they say, in an omniscient way: “if China was able to come to this in 10 years, in the next 10 we will all be driving Chinese cars”.

I absolutely love the Slate Truck and yet I think it’s not going to make it. Feels like a car made for a circumstance we’re not in anymore/yet.

Give it a few more years or release it a bit earlier and it would have been a success, if niche

I’ve been frankly unimpressed by OpenAI/Anthropic’s thinking models for coding tasks.
They take 10x the time and produce barely better results than non-thinking ones.

Not that I’ve been a victim of it myself (at least there) but feels like the indie app scene in Threads is incredibly toxic with people just calling out each other copycats for whatever reason.

Calm down guys, it’s just task manager apps.

Sometimes I just do #SwiftUI components because I like the challenge without any clear purpose.

Here’s a marquee that also supports manual scrolling. That last part in particular was tricky than I expected given that for some reason `.scrollPosition` does not report user scrolls.

Day of the Dead colors theme in long ago app

I’m particularly fond of this theme based on Day of the Dead colors.

It was quite a big deal in my high school. We did altars competitions every year and my class won a few. Great memories.
