Tons of progress! Finished my big knight (pics in next post), built and started to paint a big daemon, and even got to play a game with friends!

A ton ton ton of work over the weekend and each week night. Currently the model is glued together and varnished.the base is mostly base coated and I started on the friend for the base as well. Time for decals next, then on to more weathering!

Definitely agreed. Don’t want to distract from them all. I sourced a variety of the faceplates from the other side of the aisle and I think one of these is gonna be it.

Built up the legs finally, as well as a custom tail. Did a little test fitting this morning. I wanted the leg pistons and stuff to just work so I went for a more flat-foot position than I would otherwise. Gotta figure out the right head, feel like I need an option I don’t have.

Getting colors blocked in after priming and setting up some crackle paste. Ended the session last night with some gloss varnish to protect from some enamel plans

Finished up the batch of 20 goats on foot, 6 goats on disk, started work on the first vortex beast, played a game with friends, and started working on my next knight… the hundred handed one

Doesn’t help that all the momentum goes away because somehow it is also always 2AM when you get there and then you go to bed and have maggot lair dreams

Pecking away at the goats. Gold on the 20 on foot blocked in and made a bunch of progress on the diorama. If I was a smart man I would have bought a cheap frame with dimensions that would have worked for me, but I suppose I learned a lot stumbling through by myself

Victory for the Thousand Sons in the TTS game! Also, filled in some base coats on armor and stuff that will be gold, colored in beaks and horns and cloth pieces!

Slapping a little more paint on some goats and played the beginning of a TTS league game! Thousand Sons vs Chaos Daemons (all Khorne). Opponent has 3 squads of hounds with 3+++ saves vs psychic attacks 🤔 🤔

Played several games of 40K, started on a display base for the mutalith vortex beasts, helped base coat some vehicles for a friend and a few more steps on the big blob of goats! About halfway through blocking in armor and weapon base coats on the goats

Played the first part of a 2v1 game with some friends online. I am behind on both victory and points headed into battle round 3 after poorly staging my force out of an angled deployment and getting the first turn.
