Brianna Keilar: Do you think that calling Elon Musk a dick is effective messaging?

Congressman Robert Garcia: Well, he is a dick.

ABA
It has been three weeks since Inauguration Day.
Most Americans recognize that newly elected leaders bring change. That is expected. But most Americans also expect that changes will take place in accordance with the rule of law and in an orderly manner that respects the lives of affected individuals and the work they have been asked to perform.
Instead, we see wide-scale affronts to the rule of law itself, such as attacks on constitutionally protected birthright citizenship, the dismantling of USAID and the attempts to criminalize those who support lawful programs to eliminate bias and enhance diversity.
We have seen attempts at wholesale dismantling of departments and entities created by Congress without seeking the required congressional approval to change the law. There are efforts to dismiss employees with little regard for the law and protections they merit, and social media announcements that disparage and appear to be motivated by a desire to inflame without any stated factual basis. This is chaotic. It may appeal to a few.
But it is wrong. And most Americans recognize it is wrong.
It is also contrary to the rule of law.
The American Bar Association supports the rule of law. That means holding governments, including our own, accountable under law. We stand for a legal process that is orderly and fair.
We have consistently urged the administrations of both parties to adhere to the rule of law. We stand in that familiar place again today. And we do not stand alone. Our courts stand for the rule of law as well.

As a North Dakotan, this is embarrassing but not at all surprising coming from Kevin Cramer. He’s the north version of Ted Cruz. Somehow he keeps getting re-elected. πŸ™„

We are living through Republicanism boiled down to its essence: Everyone should be deprived of everything, because otherwise, somebody I don't like might get something I don't want them to have. We call it an ideology, but it's really a personality: Greedy, withholding, suspicious, angry, cruel.

it is very telling of these guys’ conception of how power works that they see issuing a flurry of executive orders as evidence of presidential strength and vigor and not a sign that the president is too weak to pursue a serious legislative agenda

This Cybertruck did not crash. It made a heartfelt and perhaps ill-advised gesture that, in the moment, might have been misinterpreted as a crash, but we should not rush to judgement.

first I lost Twitter and now tiktok and let me tell you, those apps were saving you all from me. I was distracted, posting my little stories about books, looking up recipes, watching power washing videos. now that’s been stripped from me I’m going back to the STREETS. I will be a menace to society

RIP MySpace, Piczo, Vine, OG Instagram, OG Twitter… Even if Tik Tok comes back it’s going to be compromised, as shown by the ass-kissing outgoing message we saw last night.

Maybe it’s time to bring back town criers? β€œHear ye, hear ye… Mark Zuckerberg is, and always will be, a fucking loser.”
