I suspect they’ve had feedback from a focus group of Reform voters and shat their pants
13.11.2025 23:29 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It’s pretty clear they’ve abandoned their strategy and are making tactical policy decisions based on what they think they will get hammered least for by the media/Reform. Absolutely spineless
13.11.2025 23:24 — 👍 10 🔁 1 💬 0 📌 0I wonder if anyone at the BBC has the self awareness to realise that they have Farage a soap box for years, and now he wants to destroy them?
13.11.2025 22:10 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0All the fuss about Trump attacking the BBC is just his latest smokescreen for this. As usual the media and chattering commentariat are falling for it

11.11.2025 21:07 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So the government appear to have forced the DG of the BBC to resign to please Trump, and are still spending taxpayers cash posting on X to please Musk. Spineless. I had such high hopes and look at what we have ended up with.

After about a month of noisy fireworks pretty much every night, some arsehole is setting them off here again tonight. Is it to commemorate Remembrance Sunday for all the people who have PTSD?

06.11.2025 20:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A bigger issue than the individual politicians is why the Government is still spending UK taxpayers money on content on the X platform. It’s about time the BBC, football clubs and corporations also took a stand on this
06.11.2025 11:00 — 👍 3 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0Mike Joyce talking about The Smiths on BBC 6 Music this morning. When asked about people who said they were boring, he retorted that those people had obviously never been to a Smiths gig.
For the record, I saw The Smiths live on their three UK tours and they were honestly one of the best live bands

This is absolute cowardice by Labour. Time someone explained what “leadership” means and that a continual retreat in the face of Reform and the rump of the Tory Party is going to result in their Dunkirk moment
29.10.2025 14:15 — 👍 14 🔁 1 💬 2 📌 0Meanwhile the government continues to spend taxpayer money funding the X platform

I was just about to post exactly this. Basically Brexit was something that lived largely in people’s imagination rather than reality and now they’re disappointed and looking for an excuse for their stupidity rather than admit they were duped
28.10.2025 17:59 — 👍 10 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0You can’t create growth by cutting things. Investment in major infrastructure projects and a far closer alignment with the EU might help unless of course you’re frightened of upsetting the regressive tendency

Part of the lyric for Grace by IDLES: “No god No king I said love is the thing No crown No ring I said love is the thing”
Nick Grimshaw playing Grace by IDLES this morning. Is this related to the “big” news story about the king and the pope praying together yesterday or just a coincidence?
