If you think I'm about to pay $38 for a shirt that says Mortal Kombatatouille, you are absolutely right

It's funny how my family texts to ask if I'm okay after the earthquake in New Jersey (I'm fine) but not to ask if I'm okay after seeing a guy perform a wedding ceremony between himself and a DΓa de Muertos-style skeleton on the C train

It's important for non-gamers to understand what's happening. This would be like if Barnes & Noble stopped carrying books with adult content because Amex and Visa pressured them.

Of course games with child abuse should be pulled, but instead of tightening moderation, distributors are giving up.

Just watched the new Project Runway and it's a bummer when shows become conscious of their cultural impact. This new version is so over produced, the clothing just kind of disappears

the way designers continue to weaponize the word "empathy" to stay relevant is really something.

I do have to say it's really bizarre how much energy is wasted on making fun of Disney Adults when you have an entire generation whose boomer parents preferred to let Disney cartoons raise their children instead

Box art for the Sega Genesis video game "Earthworm Jim." The cover features a muscular earthworm named Jim wearing a robotic suit with blue gloves and a red laser gun. He is standing in a heroic pose with a determined expression. The background is a surreal green alien landscape with a distant villainous figure and a cow floating in the air. The title "Earthworm Jim" is prominently displayed at the top in colorful, stylized letters. Logos include "SEGA Genesis," "Shiny Entertainment," "Playmates Interactive," and a "Game Players Ultimate" award. A label reads "24 MEGS of Play Action" in the top right corner, and the game is rated "GA - General Audiences" by the V.R.C.

This is pure boomer of me, but last night I was playing Dragon's Lair and all I could think is that today's kids wouldn't last 30 seconds. They simply are not bored enough to put up with that kind of punishment from video games

Most experts acknowledge that a takeover by artificial intelligence is coming for the video game industry within the next five years, and executives have already started preparing to restructure their companies in anticipation.
After all, it was one of the first sectors to deploy A.I. programming in the 1980s, with the four ghosts who chase Pac-Man each responding differently to the player's real-time movements.

A vibrant 3D-rendered jungle scene from a video game features Donkey Kong swinging from a vine in the top left corner while other characters navigate the lush, green environment below. The jungle is filled with large leaves, wooden platforms, and tropical plants. Bright yellow bananas float in midair, acting as collectible items, and two large banana-shaped fragments are highlighted in the scene. One rests on a platform near the center, and another is partially hidden in the foliage.

Haven't seen many people talk about this but the I feel like the DK Bananza team paid even more deference to Banjo Kazooie than Rare's DK games, and I'm not mad at it. Just delightful unhinged energy all around

I'm obsessed with the way experts in their field can date films and tv shows. My mom (a lifelong seamstress) pauses movies to date them by the closures (zippers and buttons) used in costumes

Capcom's Darkwing Duck on the original NES still slaps so hard. Actually, the cash grab for emotionally stunted millennials is so big right now, a Darkwing Duck comeback could go down real smooth

A 3D-rendered character of a young Pauline from the Donkey Kong franchise stands confidently against a bright yellow background with a subtle geometric pattern. She has large teal eyes, a playful smirk, and thick eyebrows. Her hair is tied up in a high ponytail with a purple scrunchie, and she wears a red jagged-hem sleeveless top, rolled-up distressed jeans, and a purple spiked bracelet on her right wrist. She stands barefoot with one hand on her hip, exuding a bold and adventurous attitude.

A 3D-rendered female character, Pauline from *Super Mario Odyssey*, is singing passionately into a vintage silver microphone. She wears a sparkling red dress, matching wide-brimmed hat, gold earrings, and bracelets. Her expression is animated with wide purple eyes and an open mouth as if hitting a powerful note. The background glows with pink and purple lighting, and golden confetti floats through the air, giving the scene a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere.

On this week's Besties, they bring up the idea of Nintendo following up Mario Odyssey with a spiritual successor to Yoshi's Island and man that feels so right. I doubt Nintendo would do it but if they did, it would go down so smooth
