it's WILD... nearly everything I hear about it is (older) players acting horribly and the major increase in ortho injuries among players.

14.11.2025 19:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0local news (to me) said right after sunset, so we went out around 7-9 and were disappointed. I'm seeing lots of local photos after 9:30 so we just missed them! (too many houses and trees at our house to see, so we drove the shores of lake erie)
13.11.2025 15:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I got to see them over the lake last year and it was one of the coolest things Iβve ever seen.
Made my whole family go with me tonight. π
it was cloudy last night no northern lights for us. but all day they said tonight would be great, too. So we drove to a dark part of the Lake Erie shoreline. Andβ¦no lights. ππΌ
13.11.2025 01:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes but we limited it to more residential areas with low traffic. I left anything over 35 MPH to the driver's ed instructor. (we did 4-5 empty parking lot sessions before we tried the road, too)
12.11.2025 18:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0He's trying to deflect from the racist roots of a no-beard policy. The religious exemptions he eliminated include Sikh and Muslim troops. And, medical skin conditions like pseudofolliculitis barbae, which used to be exempt from the rules, disproportionately affect Black men.
12.11.2025 16:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I just saw the news and ran here to see if you had posted! Yay!!!
11.11.2025 14:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
10.11.2025 00:53 β π 4772 π 842 π¬ 115 π 156Both. A combo crust is usually the best for anyone who doesnβt make it a lot.
08.11.2025 21:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I noted the shift in messaging about a week ago (the GOP started making insurance companies the boogeyman) and figured something like this was coming.
(They are *so close* to supporting universal healthcare but just canβt let themselves go there)
well there go my plans to celebrate baby beef stick's arrival
07.11.2025 20:48 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Local city has canceled all pickleball activities at the rec center for the rest of the year, due to βongoing behavioral concernsβ by adult players

07.11.2025 17:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I mean, that's their business model - undercut everyone else by selling below cost (by exploiting workers and sellers) to drive competitors out of business. Adding to that, they FUBAR'd our national delivery services. Amazon created a vicious cycle that allowed it to monopolize the online market
07.11.2025 15:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Another win: a school district in a county that went 56% for DFT and has nearly all GOP elected offices, defeated an attempted MAGA takeover of its school board. It was a pack of 3 that ran on culture-war issues, were endorsed by GOP, and advocated for book bans.
One of the 3 lost by only 5 votes!
It feels like everyone but the GOP is working to keep families fed.
05.11.2025 18:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Local, beloved burger chain is giving free kids meals to anyone under the age of 18 with the presentation of a SNAP/EBT card (no limit on meals per family) for the next week.

ooooh, a 29 year old Democratic socialist (and Legal Aid lawyer!) won a Cleveland City Council seat buy just seven votes (it will be recounted). As @greenacresanna.bsky.social says, EVERY VOTE COUNTS
