local news (to me) said right after sunset, so we went out around 7-9 and were disappointed. I'm seeing lots of local photos after 9:30 so we just missed them! (too many houses and trees at our house to see, so we drove the shores of lake erie)

I got to see them over the lake last year and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

Yes but we limited it to more residential areas with low traffic. I left anything over 35 MPH to the driver's ed instructor. (we did 4-5 empty parking lot sessions before we tried the road, too)

Another win: a school district in a county that went 56% for DFT and has nearly all GOP elected offices, defeated an attempted MAGA takeover of its school board. It was a pack of 3 that ran on culture-war issues, were endorsed by GOP, and advocated for book bans.
One of the 3 lost by only 5 votes!

Our community free pantries are overflowing. Grocery stores /farmer mkts donating food to hyper-local distribution efforts

Mine did - I think around age 8 or 9. recovery was very short and easy. they day of the surgery and day after were basically it for true recovery. we did soft food and tylenol for 3-4 days
