I recall loading screen calling every asset in the game. I asked the lead programmer why it didn't just load what was in the level. He fixed it and load times were dramatically improved.
At the time I was doing FX editing fractions in notepad. Dev time of seconds waiting 5+ minutes loading.
Using the #Scythe plugin by @kronok.bsky.social for #UnrealEngine, I modeled this sci-fi hall in two evenings. I would rebuild most of it with what I learned, but it was fun to make. #screenshotsaturday

I forgot rocks so I dug up a pack I bought ten years ago. Still looks great after reducing it to a since 512 diffuse. It's also massive scale as the cultist enemy is player sized.
