Heads up! Coronal hole effects should continue ramping up. The UK's Met Office is predicting activity increasing Oct 28-29 and rounding off around Oct 29-30. Isolated periods of G1-G2 storming with auroral displays visible from mid-latitude locations are possible this week.

Who saw the auroral beads before the substorm fired tonight? They were racing in from the west from the point of view of this camera in Ely, MN. When you see beads forming on an auroral arc, it's a sign things are about to get intense! It's sort of a "last warning" before a substorm happens.

No Kings couldn't have gone better - massive turnout, no violence, and it drove Trump so crazy his response was "Kings are good and I poop on everyone." Best of all was the effect on the millions of participants and everyone watching.
