Renewables overtake coal as world's biggest source of electricity - BBC News
Developing countries lead the historic clean energy charge but the US and EU rely more on fossil fuels than before, a think tank study shows.
"Solar ... is now so cheap that large markets for solar can emerge in a country in the space of a single year."
Another historic milestone for the energy transition, which is doing things seemingly daily that I was told quite often until quite recently were impossible www.bbc.com/news/article...

βAlberta is disincentivizing renewablesβ: report | The Narwhal
Confidence in Albertaβs energy market has been undermined by the βsheer volume and pace of regulatory and policy changes,β major financial backers say
A report commissioned by Alberta's electric system operator shows big investors' faith in the province as a stable and predictable place to invest "has been significantly undermined in recent years." That's especially true when it comes to renewables. #ableg #cdnpoli

Pierre Poilievre looks at this data and his takeaways are food inflation today is "70% above target" and the situation is "even worse than Trudeau".
You can judge how intellectually honest that is. But real solutions to real problems take more than rhetoric, gimmicks, and spin.

Alberta teachers and their employers have reached a tentative agreement | CBC News
Alberta teachers and their employers have reached a tentative agreement that could avert a strike in the province's schools, according to a statement from Finance Minister Nate Horner.
"Although the province stopped tracking class sizes in 2019, educators say anecdotally their classrooms are becoming increasingly jammed."
Honestly wild Alberta stopped tracking this data and we now have to rely on anecdotal evidence when it comes to a key issue holding up a new teachers contract.

Tom Homan was investigated for accepting $50,000 from undercover FBI agents. Trump's DOJ shut it down.
The FBI and Justice officials closed the investigation, which a Justice Department appointee had called a βdeep stateβ probe in early 2025.
MSNBC: In an undercover operation last year, the FBI recorded Tom Homan, now Trump's border czar, accepting $50,000 in cash after indicating he could help the agents win government contracts in a second Trump admin.
Trump's DOJ just shut down the investigation into Homan's actions.
