Still thinking about the kind lady earlier on who noticed me heading for the local lockers with my parcel and stopped to warn me they weren’t working. She took mine with her as she was heading for some alternative ones on her bike. A useful reminder that most people are fundamentally decent.

Tawny owl

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

I feel a call to the council coming on because it’s absolutely the outside of enough now.

Next door but one’s approach to rubbish disposal, which is to just pile it all up in the street outside her house has demonstrated its fatal flaw… 🙄

Nature is healing

I’d say it looks like rust stains from the cast iron pipe that seems to run down the left hand edge and also those bolts securing the plastic sheeting in places. But if you are worried you should get it checked out for peace of mind. And worth patching the hole as water clearly able to get in.
