When I left the stop line I could hear the collective screaming from the other car π
17.10.2025 22:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just had my first occurrence of someone at a stoplight asking me to show how fast my car can accelerate.
Not sure if they recognized it was an EV or just saw the stripe but you can bet your ass I put the car in sport mode and floored it up to the speed limit.
Still gotta respect the road rules eh?
Some patents being filed by Hyundai suggest the N 74 is edging closer to production and will still be a Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicle.
I both find this disappointing and inconsequential to me as it will just be some niche track day car if they do end up going ahead with that.
That'll just cause more incursions! They'll be blinded by science! π
17.10.2025 01:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Big yellow stripe on the car, yet I still end up with people (usually in high end SUV things) merging into my lane, no signal, attempting to occupy the space my car is in.
Maybe I need to get my car some high vis reflectors? π
Apologies for the radio silence of late. I have mostly been very busy with work or sick for the past 3 weeks or so.
16.10.2025 17:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes! I found out about this competition last year.
IIRC it is a regularity rally where the goal is to complete stages as close to a specific average speed as possible as opposed to completing the rally the fastest.
Very relevant for EV driving and efficiency!
I am sick of all these "EV toaster" comments.
Tell me you've never driven a good EV without telling me you've never driven a good EV.
People are blaming Porsche pulling out of WEC (Hypercar) on them building EVs...
No, it's because they are getting curb stomped in China where better options exist.
The people making these comments also probably can't afford a new Porsche either.
Got a GT7 photo idea over my midday break so I had to go take it.
07.10.2025 17:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"SUV"
I think they mean minivan without sliding doors. That vehicle is minivan shaped.
Got something with which I hope to do some light painting photography with.
02.10.2025 05:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0IONIQ mentioned on Jeopardy!
01.10.2025 23:34 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I admit I still delight in driving digital ICE cars around racetracks.
Like the Elantra N that was recently added to Gran Turismo 7. (I still prefer the IONIQ 5 N of course).

27.09.2025 05:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I desire opinions: which of these looks better for a windshield banner? Both logos or just the EVX logo?
27.09.2025 05:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am in an office building and having to strongly fight the urge to laugh out loud right now. π
26.09.2025 17:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Despite some whack opinions (in my opinion) on some cars (especially the IONIQ 6 review where he had an RWD and was rating that against dual motors) I do enjoy seeing his videos on past models like this.
26.09.2025 12:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dutch car guy I know of who has an IONIQ 6 is at about 2 years of ownership and over 73,000 km.
Makes my almost 31,000 km seem so small!
How this reads to me is "people don't need to be rich to have fast accelerating cars anymore."
Is there a problem with how fast the Ferraris and Porsches of the world accelerate? If they are worried about road safety maybe take a look at all the ICE sports machines that exist...
Been doing some SVG editing recently for something I'm interested in doing...
Is it weird that I found figuring this out more fun that playing video games?
Maybe I am getting old... π
It may seem silly, but archery and my EV are keeping me going through these unprecedented times.
Going to the archery range means disconnecting from this screen for a while and driving my incredible IONIQ 6... and then doing an activity that really grounds me.
Excellent activity pairing honestly.
once again, if tylenol caused autism, america would have a better rail system
22.09.2025 23:16 β π 9583 π 2250 π¬ 70 π 59Yep... don't get it at all.
Feels like protectionism for companies that don't really intend to shift with the market anyway. We'll see how that works of for everybody soon.
Every time I see sensationalist headlines from car news outlets I am reminded why I don't read articles from car news outlets anymore.
22.09.2025 16:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Over time, I'm becoming less and less interested in motorsports because they keep regressing on electrification.
Formula E seems to be the only holdout, maybe WEC too since they're keeping hybrids around.
I'm tired y'all.
I was going to be doing an event with EVCO this weekend but I have caught a cold unfortunately, so even if I feel better by then I probably should not be around large amounts of people.
Unfortunate but rest is important too!
"They're the most valuable car company, they're sticking it to the haters!"
Yeah, no... I don't care. All this tells me is you cannot think critically or morally for that matter.
Company squandered a tech lead they had for years to make meme machines and people are still falling for it.
Just saw a post about buying Tesla stock on my local EV owner FB group (only thing I use FB for) and it is taking all my energy to not write an essay about my negative thoughts about it as a 2SLGBTQIA+ individual.
Stop giving them money.
