Really struck by this BBC article outlining how Gen Zs choice to drink less is harming the profits of a company worth billions. The solution, RAMP UP THE ADVERTISING. Corporate profit seeking was always prioritised over human health but in the Trump era, everyone says the quiet part out loud.

My worry is that if she is nominated, it will mean a month of national airtime for a hate campaign against vulnerable groups, carried by a media too scared of being sued to call it what it is

Oh my God.
Donald Trump and JD Vance are attacking Zelensky in the Oval Office.
This is a complete fucking embarrassment.
Putin says Trump must go further before he’ll even agree to meet.
Putin is entirely in the driving seat. The US has alienated its own allies, given Russia nearly all of what it wanted, bought Putin’s warped view of reality, and can’t even guarantee a meeting. The art of the deal, indeed.
Have written about JD Vance’s Munich speech. In what may prove to be the biggest week for European security since 1991, it’s time Europe listened to what Trump and his Vice President are telling us. open.substack.com/pub/goodalla...

And they love Boris Johnson and Trump not so much because they agree with them, but because they’re good for business. They provide more content. More fuel for the news engine."
This is why the media gives people like Donald Trump such an easy ride and people like Keir Starmer such a hard one
