New York Post headline: How Zohran Mamdani's aloof wife, Rama Duwaji, quietly steered his campaign from behind the scenes
It was the NY Post, but you were right
04.11.2025 03:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why would you say something so controversial and yet so brave?
03.11.2025 19:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Both sides are so compelling, I don't know who to believe! We should hear from every corner before we make a decision.
15.10.2025 17:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A good friend of mine is a British trans woman, and (for what it's worth) I think her voice sounds lovely!
09.10.2025 03:28 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Easy to confuse those two greats!
23.09.2025 16:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"Sorry for the convenience." -Mitch Hedberg
23.09.2025 16:00 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That sounds horrible and solidifies my decision to leave. I'm grateful you're keeping an eye on these lunatics because I don't have the stamina to do so.
22.09.2025 00:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As a Virginian, I hear you.
09.09.2025 02:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Are you the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned?
29.08.2025 19:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Those are all excellent. I'd also add:
-more gerrymandering in Dem's favor
-abolish the Electoral College
-abolish the Senate
-expand the House
-ranked choice voting
A boy can dream, right?
A wannabe authoritarian uses unfounded crime concerns as a pretext to take over a capital city. Liberals point out that weapons are dangerous and other developed countries have reasonable laws and fewer problems with said dangerous weapons. These things seem the same to me; I am very smart.
19.08.2025 17:56 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sadly, I think you're right
18.08.2025 11:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't understand why anyone is acting like "their" candidate is inevitable at this point. Putting aside parasocial relationships (which are weird), why are so many eager to anoint someone who alienates the left at the drop of a hat? No faith in anything other than moderate nonsense that has failed
18.08.2025 01:15 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1Not necessarily, no. She was a worse candidate just going by results, but Bill was bad, too:
Don't ask don't tell, NAFTA, welfare reform, deficit reduction by cutting programs, the crime bill that worsened the police state and whose one good thing (the assault weapons ban) expired... not great
Hillary engaged in racist rhetoric against "super predators," was hawkish enough to make John McCain blush, had proxies use racist attacks against Obama, and was a black hole of charisma whose message was essentially that she deserved it and anyone who disagreed should be crushed.
14.08.2025 22:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well, misogyny was certainly a huge factor, but it wasn't the only one. Same with Kamala. Just chalking it up to one factor is overlooking the candidate's weaknesses.
14.08.2025 22:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I hear you, but I don't get what's so great about Hillary. What leftist (or even adjacent) project has she advanced? How are her politics substantially different from Bill's? Personally, she is less problematic yet less charismatic and lost a primary then a general. At least Bill won twice!
14.08.2025 19:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Petty grievances, exerting control, Wilhoit's law, things of this nature
11.08.2025 16:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Come on ride the train... and ride it!
08.08.2025 19:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm saying that for many people, leaving is just not an option at all. Money is a big reason, and starting over in a new country is just generally extremely difficult. Plus, if good people leave, then mostly bad people will be left and they'll make the problems worse.
28.07.2025 12:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some people can't just move, and if those who can leave do, then things will get worse. We have to stay and fight.
28.07.2025 02:33 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0In this White Plains diner, the conversation flows as freely as the matcha. But there are whisperings that Mamdani is the reason Maeda Shiki is $19 an ounce.
26.06.2025 16:37 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm assuming you're referencing the second assertion about internet popularity, correct? Because the first part is accurate; Obama wasn't progressive. He was immensely popular online, though, so that part is utterly delusional.
23.06.2025 00:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So, it's funny you say that because my congressman literally isn't alive to see this; he died in May.
22.06.2025 02:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey, whoa, doesn't that make you the REAL Nazi? So much for the tolerant left! /s
21.06.2025 12:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Aw, nuts!
09.06.2025 23:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey, don't disrespect vinegar potato chips like that!
09.06.2025 23:14 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0"Obviously contrived and so clearly bad faith that it barely warrants discussion" describes pretty much every right-wing talking point since, well, ever (but especially since Fox News).
05.06.2025 14:42 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's comforting, yet also distressing, that y'all have the same problems across the pond. Replace "pounds" with "dollars," and you've got the average Democratic Party consultant.
