Our 'Word Boffin' has said the same thing. You spend the same time (if not more) fact checking everything it writes or suggests. Which any good writer should do, of course. But begs the question: What's the point?

We asked it to audit a random company's website. Just to test it out. Asking it to check tone, content, and structure.

The stuff it made up. Half of it wasn't even true. When we called it out, it apologised and said we were right.

A huge issue is it's not accurate, and it's a people pleaser.

And suddenly the reason for being angry is because you don't know why you're angry.

The never-ending loop of being p*ssed off.

Apple's 'lazy advert' highlights a much bigger problem with AI You might’ve heard that Apple dropped a bunch of adverts for Apple Intelligence – a new AI built right into their devices. It can rewrite emails, create images and use Siri better. But is it any good?

'Bad AI models will make bad writers'.

'If the original data is flawed, the AI will be flawed.'

'Human bias slips through.'

But there's a fine line between creating hype and sounding like a salesperson. And using sales-y language can harm trust in your product.
