Could be worst Milwaukee has three basketball arenas lined up next to each other for every time the Bucks have wanted a new stadium. I don’t know what they do with the two spare arenas, but I always think it’s amazing.

I can’t speak to specific deals, but most stadium deals are like so skewed to the owners favor that if they pay a penny in taxes I’d be shocked. Usually the community builds the stadium and the team gets free rent and all financial benefits from all stadium activities for ever.

Like we’re supposed to pay for their stadiums, their practice facilities from our tax money. And then pay extra in our cable bills for their broadcasting rights.

And they what don’t have to pay their fair share? Fuck professional sports all the way off.

Also I have no sympathy for anyone making over $10 million a year ever paying more taxes.

If anything I am mad California isn’t taxing them even more.

But rather than point out that the athlete paid $200k on 1.3 million they earned in salary, the author wants to pretend he paid 200k in taxes on the bonus he earned from winning the superbowl which was less than 200k.

This is a textbook example of media bias and misinformation.

California’s jock tax taxes athletes on their salary for the time they spend in state. If you make 34 million a year, and you spend two weeks in California, you owe California 1/26th of that salary.
