Uh, we got a lot going on in Alberta so maybe that's how I was unaware of these Carney bills? I hate this timeline we're stuck in!

Danielle Smith has such contempt for teachers, she dropped a back to work bill using the NWC, and then jetted off to Saudi Arabia for TWO FUCKING WEEKS on the same day!
There is no employer in this province who hates their employees more than the Alberta government

When Danielle Smith tells us who she is, let's believe her. π

- Voters resoundingly rejected UCP interference and party politics
- Voters chose optimism over cynicism
- The angry calls for change and reset were coming from a vocal minority, disproportionately amplified.

While Smith and Lagrange are talking about the biggest factors influencing health outcomes and why theyβre profitizing Albertaβs healthcareβ¦
The #1 factor that determines health outcomes is made worse by the policy.
Itβs poverty.

Infographic titled 'Does the Alberta Government's 2025 COVID-19 vaccine policies represent soft eugenics?' It defines Soft Eugenics as policies that quietly disadvantage the elderly, disabled, poor, or marginalized by limiting access to healthcare. The graphic contrasts Hard Eugenics (Past) (Forced sterilization, segregation) with Soft Eugenics (Now), which includes charging for vaccines, removing pharmacy access, and Systemic devaluation of non-eligible lives. The Alberta's 2025 COVID-19 Policy section details the factual basis for the critique: A $100 admin fee for most Albertans (non-eligible general population). The vaccine is FREE only for Health Care Workers, Seniors, and high-risk groups. The policy includes a ban on pharmacists giving public supply, a reduced vaccine supply by 250,000 doses, and a non-advertised pre-order requirement for 2026/2027. The Conclusion: Soft Eugenics in Action asserts that the policy violates public health principles of universal equity and beneficence. By imposing a $100 financial barrier and restricting access, the policy is said to reinforce the eugenic concept of 'culling the unfit'. It concludes that the policy burdens the working poor and general population, whose lives are implicitly deemed 'lesser' and 'unworthy,' leading to higher hospitalizations and stress on the healthcare system."
π¨ Public Health Alert: The AB Gov's new vaccine policy is Soft Eugenics in action! π¦ π $100 fee + cuts to supply & pharmacy access violate universal equity and devalue the working poor. Ethical policy protects everyone, not just the wealthy. We must speak out. #ABLEG #ABpoli #AxeTheVaxTax #Cdnpoli

if you're in Alberta and you want your flu and covid shot in 2026 - yes you read that correctly - you have to preorder them right now. So here's the link. go do that. Just in case none of those people get removed from power by then.
please repost this, as the province seems bent on killing us.

04.10.2025 02:06 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0βAISH is intended to support Albertans with severe disabilities that result in them being permanently unable to work,β said the statement. βADAP will empower Albertans with disabilities who are able to work to pursue fulfilling job opportunities while continuing to receive the supports they need.β Those on AISH will be automatically transferred to ADAP come July 1, 2026. The core benefit for ADAP is a proposed $1,740 per month. AISH offers a monthly benefit of $1,901. If an ADAP client is unable to find a job after receiving employment services, they will continue to receive financial and health benefits, said the province. If their medical condition progresses to the point where they are unable to work, they can be assessed for AISH. From July 1, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2027, people can choose to remain on ADAP or be assessed for AISH. The province said it will continue to match the AISH amount during that period. Those who wish to stay on AISH will need to provide a disability assistance medical report which will be reviewed by a disability assistance adjudicator and referred to the AISH medical review panel for final determination of eligibility. If the panel determines an individual is not eligible, they will remain on ADAP. Employment income exemptions will be reduced for AISH clients when ADAP comes into effect.
AISH is already so difficult to qualify for. Now they will automatically switch people to ADAP and then those people will have to reapply to go back on AISH when ADAP doesn't work out for them.
