Since returning from PV I’ve had a few family members and friends call to tell me some horrifying (and completely untrue) things they heard on the news that were happening down there. It was an awful and scary situation but the invented stories are really pissing me off.

Also in Puerto Vallarta check out the ChocoMuseo. We took a very small 4 hour class where the instructor told the history of chocolate while he made traditional cacao drinks for us & taught us how to make chocolate bonbons & truffles from bean to box. All with a window looking out to the Pacific.

We are a few thousand subscribers away from being a bigger print newspaper than the Washington Post.

I saw her exhibit at SFMOMA last year and aside from being stunned by the beauty of her works I was enthralled with how it showed her artistic sensibilities enmeshed with even the most everyday aspects of her life.

Also if you go to Puerto Vallarta you must check out el Jardín Botánico. There’s a beautiful chapel, a lovely pet memorial garden, thousands of amazing plants, & a great restaurant. Tip: Aim to eat at noon or earlier so you’re done by 1:00 when they put out food for unique birds who come flying in.
