when i'm at my most focused, reading proust feels like having my brain actively rewired. not much actually happens plot wise, but it's thrilling to follow the narration's tangents and getting to know the narrator's (and swann's) interiority. a lot of the dialogue is quite funny too

11. THE SWANN WAY (still feels weird to call it that) by marcel proust, brian nelson translation. not gonna act like it's an easy read necessarily, but it's not as difficult as you'd think either. you definitely need to lock in on proust's long ass sentence structure but when you do it's wonderful
