looked up the clip just because sometimes people change his words for captions that end up innocently reshared, but upon finding it decided to share the video because hearing him say it makes it 1000% more definitely true and everyone will listen/believe more than reading it written out

I’m hoping it’s back up soon. I’m trying to finish a grant application for a food pantry and need access to this data. Do you know how long it’s been down?

Yes, I watched it a few years ago, and this scene was jaw-dropping. I think of it every time I hear Dean Cain express an opinion.
(I still love this show, though)

I've really been loving The Onion in general, and especially the print edition. Something made by humans, that values human creativity over artificial efficiency is such a delight. Capitalism tells us to always produce more, but The Onion is saying, 'what if we produced something better?'

There are no red states, no blue states, only purple, from Idaho fuchsia to Vermont violet. And in every state there are children, non-citizens, and prisoners who can't vote. In every state where one candidate won, a bunch of people voted for the other candidate. And so forth.

This is worth 3 minutes of your time. No one wants to eat at a restaurant that only serves bland chicken. (It’s not about chicken, or restaurants, tho)

Libraries are cutting back on staff and services after Trump's order to dismantle small agency Libraries across the United States are cutting back on e-books, audiobooks and loan programs after the Trump administration suspended millions of dollars in federal grants as it tries to dissolve…

Federal judges have issued temporary orders to block the Trump administration from taking any further steps toward gutting the agency.

But the unexpected slashing of grants has delivered a significant blow to many libraries.

$75k for your first grant application? That’s PHENOMENAL! Great job.

My Alabama Library | Learn how libraries change lives.

It won’t let me message you, but it’s at myalabamalibrary.org. Working with a couple libraries to be the first featured libraries once it fully launches.

So my girlfriend is an amazing stop motion animator, and she recently did a medieval cat themed bumper for Adult Swim!

Sharing it here because she only has Instagram and I think everyone needs to see her animations. She's so freaking talented, y'alls. PLEASE go follow her!

Fairhope Public Library (along with their board, city council, and residents) really is setting an example for how to respond to threats and baseless allegations. Not every library can risk state funding, so it’s extra important that those that can survive that cut stand firm.

From NYT article about the increasing use of AI in the classroom: β€œWriting is one of the most challenging tasks for students, which is why it is so tempting for some to ask A.I. to do it for them. In turn, A.I. can be useful for teachers who would like to assign more writing, but are limited in their time to grade it.”

Why even have a brain, any ideas, any ability to express them, any kind of communication with other people, any desire to solve problems or invent anything, any reason to learn, any use for your eyes or your heart, or any reason to teach or create
