🔴 Two more children die of hypothermia in Gaza as the US and Israel deliberately block shelter aid stockpiled at the border. A six-month-old girl, Shatha Abu Jarad, died Tuesday from exposure to extreme cold, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported. Her death follows that of a 27-day-old infant on Saturday, bringing the number of children who have died of hypothermia in Gaza this winter to 9. Another storm is forecast to hit Gaza. The Palestinian Meteorological Department has warned that a polar air mass will bring frost and freezing conditions Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, WAFA reported, further worsening conditions for hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians forced to shelter in tents that provide little protection from the cold. Gaza’s Government Media Office says 127,000 of the enclave’s 135,000 tents have been rendered unusable by recent storms. Israel and the United States continue to block the entry of new tents and all mobile homes.

Since the ceasefire began 62 days ago, it says only 14,534 of the 37,200 required trucks have entered, an average of 234 per day, just 39% compliance. The office said Israel is deliberately restricting aid volumes and controlling contents, allowing low-nutritional goods while blocking essential food, medical supplies, spare parts, and emergency materials. It described this as a systematic blockade and collective punishment, accusing Israel of using food and medicine as tools of pressure and calling for an independent international investigation.
