If you want to something similarly dumb and pretty but in a super gay way, Promare and Kill la Kill are beautiful and have banger soundtracks, though I think my love of Gurren Lagann informs and feeds into my love of both of those, which then feeds back into my love of Gurren Lagann

Imagine making a game that looks like Peripeteia and somehow being transphobic.

Even if they weren't transphobic, the random dig against Signalis and it's community comes off as petty and unprofessional imo

This is how I learn the Peripeteia devs are evil shits

I feel bad for not looking into them when I bought the game earlier this year

I hate that I seemingly can’t tell the difference between “this game is like this because the dev is in love with Deus Ex” and “this game is like this because the dev is an actual conspiracy theorist who probably has a lot of opinions about race science”

It's funny/sad that there's about a 50/50 split on responses to this mess. Half are 'What the hell, I just assumed Peripeteia was by trans lesbians' and the other half are 'I knew it, the game was made by chan edgelords'.

And the game gives off both signals which, honestly, implies the former to me

Also for a little broader context, Peripeteia is by a three-person team. Two which have been involved from the start (Ouroborous/Snaketicus is the one in the screenshots), and one who joined later to help with engine coding.

One huge asshole in a team that small is enough for me to tap out.

Also adding a mention that the Webfishing 'controversy' that's being mentioned here is that the Webfishing devs were doxxed and pulled their discord.

Well, fuck. Revoking any and all Peripeteia recommendations (and I wish I could un-back it on Kickstarter) based on the very thinly veiled transphobia from the dev (the first one in the screenshots here).

I hate this.
