Solaris is my favorite film, but it took me forever to get around to watching Stalker. once i did, it now kind of sits with Solaris as the favorite. i can't decide between them. i also highly recommend the books the films are based on. 🙃

seems i've regressed. again. woke feeling like my head was being crushed between boulders. took pills, took a shower, coughed up something eldritch. forcing myself to eat crackers cuz all food seems disgusting, but i know i have to eat. i probably don't need to say it, but i'm very grouchy.

i'm so sorry you and your husband are in such pain. if i could, i would sit with you both and listen and just be there for you. i'm not really good at always knowing the right thing to say or giving advice, but i'm good at listening (and hugs). i really hope you both feel better soon. 🫶

this not-flu really smacked me flat. i feel derailed & disoriented. like i just came back from a long trip. everything feels different somehow, yet nothing has changed. i don't exactly know what to make of this.

up somewhat early. bit of a headache, still a bit drippy & coughing, slow & dragged out, but continuing to get better.

but Dick Cheney died so, that's plus one for today, i guess.

worse coughing, very fatigued, but i think a teenytinybit better, since i long to art or craft. but i know i will overdo it so instead settling in for another day of being a gross meat lump under blankets. i think i may work on a digital collage or writing (or um WoW😶), those are not taxing.

i turn off the music, and i play on peaceful survival. for some reason, this is very weird, according to some of my young relatives. i am pretty sure plenty of people play that way, i mean, it's just basic settings. 🤷‍♀️

i have been pretty good about taking care of myself. staying warm, sleeping, staying hydrated, making myself eat, all the things. 🙂

feeling a little better today but still feel like i was run through an industrial washing machine.

This is your reminder that if you see teens, or anyone for that matter, in a costume happily trick or treating, you let them celebrate. This world is harsh & the simple joys of Halloween are magical to some.

A lot of things are really bad, but being able to make something with my hands feels extra powerful these days. Creation in the face of destruction. Remembering this keeps me sane.
