Museums are some of my favorite dates. My heart and curiosity are both open. I want to know what my partner thinks and feels. Together we intentionally experience something new and react and process and love together.

Went to the Eastman museum in Rochester yesterday. I loved the photography exhibits but the weather was perfect for a wander in the front gardens.

We are very pro teenagers trick or treating in this household. Being a kid sucks, they should get candy

I am going to learn to paint only so I can make wall-sized banana skin paintings.

At the same time as this planet sized feeling, I have looming family stuff that I'm too trans for, and another situation that I literally can't think of anyone I could ask for advice on.

I think I've been able to get to the simple need at the heart of the big feelings, but it's so tied in to my core anxiety that when I even imagine trying to say it I start to tear up.

Does anyone already know someone doing like a chat or hashtag or discord for people who are really casual but enthusiastic about photography and everyone shares like ONE picture a day?

I think arguing with people in my head actually helps (me) sometimes. At least I can understand my own point of view and even if I don't understand theirs I can practice accepting that I don't understand and can't change it. Their non-response makes me feel like my feelings are being too big.

My parents hit a black bear with their car in Pennsylvania, so it isn't exactly unusual in certain parts of the US either. Though each of these makes me imagine an acquaintance at a funeral asking how they died and someone shrugging and saying "the usual way, impaled on a beach umbrella 🤷‍♂️"

He cancelled and said he hopes we can reschedule. So I made it clear that I need him to initiate that, because I've found when the other person cancels and then I do the chasing I end up feeling rejected when they never make scheduling work.

I had a first date tonight and he cancelled. So naturally I got weird about it and probably killed momentum. But I guess you never know 🫤 I want to be with people that want to be with me. Even the me who is overly direct about my emotional needs. 🤷‍♂️
