I used to use a "red feed blue feed" site in my middle school social studies classes that would compare what the algorithms would show side-by-side for whatever topic you chose. It was a great tool, very eye-opening for the kids. So scary that so many don't know this is their "news".

I wish this were true, I agree with the sentiment. But *Charlie Kirk* was inexcusable, and absolutely does not deserve to be honored by lowering the flag. Dying doesn't erase the awful things he promoted (including the idea that a few deaths were worth it to keep all the guns, ffs.).

Even if you don't read sf and don't know or care what the Hugos are, this is a beautiful and humane and important essay.
