UPDATE: Snake returns to Ocean Beach library A beloved ball python named Darwin has gone missing from the Ocean Beach library, where he was part of a special program encouraging children to read.

Slightly disappointed that the snake wasn’t returned in the bookdrop.

My 14th loaf of sourdough this year. I went back to @sourdoughbrandon.bsky.social’s Everyday Sourdough bread recipe. Used a heating mat for the levain and bulk fermentation and baked in a challenger bread pan. Needed less than 20 min after lid came off.

Love hearing the crowd roar, then get louder, then the foghorn sounding when the #padres hit a home run.

#sourdough loaf number 11 and I’m so excited about this one. Recipe is Beginner Sourdough from Amy Bakes Bread. Used a heating mat at 78 for the levain and bulk fermentation. No shaping before cold ferment which was about 27 hours. Lots of popping and zinging when it came out of the oven. #breadsky

#sourdough loaves 7 and 8 on the year. Still using the Beginners’ Sourdough recipe from The Perfect Loaf. It’s a bit warmer this weekend so I did the bulk fermentation on the counter instead of oven.
