npj Climate Action - Perceived costs and benefits and public support for climate policies
The benefits of climate solutions—perhaps especially switching to clean energy—are many and profound. New research suggests we should redouble efforts to communicate those benefits. Sounds right to me.

Abortion is healthcare.
Abortion should be regulated like other health services so that women and girls can access safe, timely and respectful care.
Today is International #SafeAbortion Day.
Access to safe abortion protects the health of women and girls.
As with all other health services, women and girls should be able to access safe and respectful abortion care, when they need it, without fear of harm, punishment or recrimination.

New report links fossil fuels to health harms from birth to old age
A report that compiles over 600 scientific citations shows that fossil fuels' health harms start before birth and extend in time
Fossil fuels harm our health at all stages of life—even before babies are born. This is totally preventable with a switch to clean energy. Let’s get it done, for our health.

In a new paper we show how misinformation derails support for public action on climate change by casting doubt on the scientific consensus (which undermines public opinion).

Underestimating support for climate action limits political decision making, study says
Research reveals huge disparity between perceived and actual willingness of public to contribute to fixing climate
Those profiting from industries driving the climate crisis try to convince policy makers & public that (i)experts can’t agree, and (ii)policies addressing climate change are unpopular.
Neither is true.

CO2 emissions in China have decreased from a peak in March 2024 to June 2025. The reduction is due to the deployment of massive amounts of renewable capacity, particularly solar PV.
There was a hint in 2024 that China's Carbon emissions had peaked due to their massive roll out of renewables, which continues. Now the data from the first half of 2025 confirms that CO2 emissions in China are decreasing. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🌊🔋
