Thanks for the video and the article! It certainly feels slower and less frantic, which you confirm in your writeup. I do hope they adjust Lagi gliding for the first time. The moment is so magical in the original but in the remake it felt like a slow fall.

I still go back to Rally today! It remains one of the best feeling games of all time in terms of balancing handling and fun. I love Rally so much that I find myself tabbing through the menus in hopes that some secret bonus level or track builder option or something will appear. Also the ost rules!

I plan to do the same. Playing on game pass now but it's such a cool game that I want to own a physical copy.

What a great piece! You put into words what I could never convey about why I liked Grandia. It never hits you over the head with anything world shattering. But it's such a charming, spirited journey, like you said, that you can't help see it through to the end.

It does get him to make a face like he just slammed back some battery acid, which is great.

A lot of Dreamcast vibes from this game. In addition to Sonic, some of the music and locales reminded me a lot of Skies of Arcadia.

I could get behind that. It still holds up really well today.

I'm so scared they would screw that up somehow.
