I have some research on diary keeping among travellers on ocean liners between Vancouver and Oceania mid 1800s to early 1900s. Way out of the time period but maybe it would fit?

In her important new book, Across the KalaPani, author Sunita Narayan documents the life histories of those who were indentured to Rogers in Fiji.
It was my honour to review this book for Journal of Pacific History.
