GEC Throws A Clean Up Party! Many thanks to all of the GEC members that came out to pick up litter around Downtown Glendale on Saturday, June 28, 2025! 19 volunteers spent three hours collecting several bags of trash in the area around Glendale City Hall. The team collected many cigarette butts, which are a significant form of litter that often end up in storm drains and ultimately out into our water ways.

Solar supplied almost as much energy as gas in 2024 in CA (32% solar, 35% gas.) Long duration storage and off shore wind (floating turbines) are in development now to shore up PM hours. We are at an inflection point!
