I'm reducing the temperature for the second pie I'm making since the edges and top burned a bit, but if it turns out (knock on wood) I'll be sending it to the neighbors as a thank you for shoveling my sidewalk and driveway last week. A win-win-win!

So glad I had the foresight to take yesterday and today off. Not getting any sleep the night before the surgery plus giving round the clock meds every 4 hours would have had me nodding off during sessions like That Guy in a cabinet meeting

Teen is getting 2 wisdom teeth removed in the morning and we're all floating in a stew of anxiety/dread/resignation today. It took 30 minutes, 4 adults, and an emotional support phone call from her usual PCP who was out with a broken arm to help her get ONE vaccine and now you want* to place an IV?!

I think Andy Serkis might be my answer... Gets you LOTR, Andor, Star Wars movies, Black Panther and other marvel, plus The Simpsons so that's at least a million hours to watch.

I always start making chicken stock with big aspirations about the soups I'll make with it and what ingredients and seasonings I'll use, and what I'll serve with it, and I always end up just drinking it all out of a mug instead of making soup 🥴
