Ken Klipperstein leaked full passport guidance for trans people:
- X markers will be a focal point
- Existing unexpired passports will remain good
- No guidance on confiscation, but it doesn’t seem like they will
- Renewals less clear but it looks like they will use “a preponderance of evidence”

Major breaking trans news: The ACLU has launched a lawsuit on behalf of 7 transgender people affected by Trump’s passport ban.
Incredible filing. The Trump admin is now swarmed with lawsuits over discriminatory and illegal executive orders.
BREAKING: We’re suing the Trump administration for refusing to issue passports with accurate sex designations for transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people.
This action violates the Constitution.
Major breaking trans news: The States of Washington, Minnesota, and Oregon have sued the Trump administration to block it from enforcing a national gender affirming care ban for those under 19 years of age.
This is the second major lawsuit over Trump's trans ban EO.

Trans athletes in sport were always a concentrated & manufactured wedge/tool for the right-wing to further erode the rights of all marginalized communities - in most aspects of life, not just in sports. Impacted athletes have been pointing this out for the better part of a decade 1/2

Law requires enforcement and the federal legislative/executive checks are captured. Likely federal supreme court as well. State legal systems and lower federal judicial systems are still at least partially intact, so that's where we need to focus. That's my two cents.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.
Yesterday's executive order is another harmful action and *does* make abundantly clear that this administration is going to continue to pursue attacks on the trans community.
It *does not* ban gender affirming care for youth. Nor does it change the protections we have established in Minnesota.

I am deeply saddened by the news that Target Corporation, based in Minneapolis, has decided to roll back and ultimately conclude its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. This alarming move adversely affects our Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities, as well as our 2SLGBTIA+ friends and family. This decision comes just days after Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at dismantling DEI programs within the federal government, signaling a troubling trend of corporations yielding to powerful political interests at the expense of our community and social progress. In light of this, I urge everyone to consider supporting small businesses and family-owned grocery stores in our community. These local businesses are often more aligned with our values and can benefit from our support. I want to reaffirm my commitment to advocating for our communities at City Hall. Good for TC Pride for taking this stance immediately. If you live in MN you know that Target has had a huge (HUGE!) presence at our major Pride parade and events.
The company has been retracting their public support for queer folks for some time now.
They are no longer welcome.
