Hi guys, it's my birthday August 9th! I don't feel especially celebrate-y, but I'm requesting $2000 (which I know is a lot and I'm ok not reaching the goal if I don't). The reason I'm making such a big request is that 2025 has been so traumatic for me. I live in shared housing for women who've had housing insecurity and I've had *two* housemates who made me feel unsafe and eroded my quality of life. May and July included sexual assault anniversaries for me. And in June ICE happened and is still happening. I live in Los Angeles and every day is scary for me now and I don't feel safe. In the last few months I've been diagnosed with PTSD, ADHD, and a thyroid condition. It's a lot, so I am hoping for a little cushion of funds to do some things for myself.

What am I going to do with the funds? A combination of practical/useful things, and to try to do some fun things to lifrt t my quality of life a little (as you can imagine, if your physical health is struggling and you're afraid every day of being kidnapped or having it happen to someone you love, your mental health really suffers). Practical stuff may include things to manage my conditions, last time I received a lot of mutual aid I paid off a couple small debts. It's summer so it may help with meals and groceries. Fun stuff: Guys, in the last nearly two months I've only been out of the house for 20 minutes and it was so hard. I would like to do some fun things out of the house. Also start making jewelry again.

My friend got a 5 day notice to evict in WI because her landlord complained about cat odor. She cleans often but has 2 documented ESA cats that landlord knows about.

She is thinking she will just move out and it will keep eviction off her record & wont have to go to court.
