Update.

It's not just that they're the wrong colour lights.

I've offered it to a friend for spring because I can't even think of a place I could put up with this plant

Whenever I'm looking for anything in my house:

ALL MY DOGS "Yay!! We're going on an adventure together!!"

I'm looking for the zip ties I was using yesterday.

We're now 2 weeks into a stabbing incident at local(ish) school of an elementary school student by another student

The latest update is that it was indeed a plastic spoon, not a knife

Day time porch view with icicle lights and hanging plastic glittery snowflakes in blues and whites

Same view at night when you can really only see the lit up icicles lights and barely the artificial tree I've got blue lights on

Added some bigger snowflakes to the porch decorations

I'm more and more tempted to relocate that honeysuckle in front

Going to try throwing some lights on it and see if that makes me love it

One very bright candle in front of 2 very dull candles Went all rechargeable this holiday season as I should have years ago! Slowly going through a dozen candles charging their batteries, my charger only holds 8 and I've got the outside tree batteries in it now

I've had these fake candles for a month and thought they were just low Temu quality,

No, the rechargeable batteries from Amazon basic just didn't come fully charged 🤦‍♀️

I feel dumb.

My favourite thing to explain is the reason we have new methods i.e. is the tomatoes have changed

We've bred tomatoes to be less acidic, so even if you're growing a roma/etc you need to add some citric acid if you're using an old recipe

Unless you're growing your own saved heirloom (not bought)

Yep! That is the reason to warm up your jars, especially if you have a cold country home like me

And you should warm your lids to relax the rubber, it helps them seal, but they don't need to be sterilized

Modern advice is that you do NOT need to sterilize your jars before canning any more, as long as they are brought up to proper temp

Bagged soil I'd wetted down in a big Tupperware, and a green pot I also added some perlite to the mix I pre-moisten because I don't have to water again until the seedlings emerge, and watering right after sowing a seed can move the seeds around I've tried winter sowing most of the packet but I'm following the germination instructions for a few 😅

One of the guys came in to ask me a question (they're working on dethawing and heat wrapping my laundry room pipes today)

Then asked what I was making because I was mixing something
